The guide · Now — Dec 31

What is the Winter Arc?

The rest of the year, used on purpose. Instead of waiting for January, you lock in now and finish the year already moving.

Why a contract?

Everyone has a Winter Arc list. Most of them are a post, then a quiet week, then nothing. A list has no one watching.

On Cura the Winter Arc is a contract. Seven lines, the same for everyone who signs, with Cura signed beside you as witness. You can sign it with everyone on the board, with one accountability partner, or on your own. Keep the terms and the Winter Arc seal is yours.

The seven lines

Six are daily. Training is counted by the week, Monday to Sunday.

01

10,000 steps

Every day, rest days included. On Cura it can tick itself from Apple Health or Health Connect.

900K600K300K0 NOWNOV 1DEC 1DEC 31 310K610K920K BY DEC 31
10,000 a day adds up to 920,000 steps by Dec 31, roughly 700 km of walking. The calories that burns depend on your weight and pace, so Cura counts the steps, not the calories.
02

Hit your protein goal

You set your own number in grams when you sign, and the contract shows it, for example “Hit 150 g of protein”. Pick a number you can actually reach every day; a coach or a doctor can help you set it.

03

Eat by the 90/10 food rule

About 90% of what you eat is whole food: meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruit, grains. The other 10% is up to you. Tick it on the days you kept that balance.

04

No alcohol

None, from the day you sign to Dec 31. It’s the simplest line on the list, and for most people the hardest.

05

Drink 2 L of water

About eight glasses, or four 500 ml bottles. An easy way: one bottle by midmorning, one by lunch, one by dinner, one before bed.

06

Read 10 pages

Ten pages a day is 920 pages by Dec 31, roughly three or four books.

07

Train · 4 times this week weekly

The one weekly line. Any session counts: the gym, a run, a class. Four a week is enough to build on, with room to recover. A short first week and the last week (Dec 28–31) need two. Over the arc that’s 52 sessions.

How it’s kept

  • A day is kept when the six daily lines are ticked. One tap, CHECK IN ALL, ticks them together when they’re all done.
  • A week is kept with 4 trainings (2 in the short first and last weeks).
  • Two missed days in a row and the contract ends.
  • Two short training weeks in a row and the contract ends.
